Born in the Dominican Republic and the first of her family to attend college, Cindy Mota enrolled in the University's award-winning financial planning program, and discovered her passion for helping others plan their financial futures. She credits the demanding courses and hands-on learning she experienced at William Paterson with preparing her for her job at Vanguard, the largest mutual fund company in the country.

Passionate about becoming a teacher, Katelin Loeffler chose William Paterson for its unique integrated math and science elementary education program. Recognized with the NJ Outstanding Student Teacher Award, Katelin recognizes William Paterson for giving her the hands-on experience, knowledge and strength she needed to become an award-winning teacher.

First generation college student German Decena discovered a passion for criminal justice while studying sociology at William Paterson. To support his newfound interest, a professor helped him earn a Prosecutor's Office internship where he learned about the court system. After learning more in courses like Juvenile Delinquency and Criminology, German plans a career in law enforcement where he will use his knowledge and experience to empower others.

Now a senior, Mike Zeoli has held an elite New York Giants internship since sophomore year. A communication major with a media production focus, he credits the internship with enriching his classroom experience and aspires to land a job with the NFL after graduation. Through hands-on learning, William Paterson gives students like Mike the strength to find themselves in the middle of the action.

Liana Kabrel transferred to William Paterson University because of it’s unique animal behavior/physiology concentration within the university’s biology program. Today she is a wild animal keeper at the Bronx Zoo. The challenging and real-world education Liana received at William Paterson empowered her to focus her education to achieve her career goal.
